Hey everyone!!! My blog now has a new name!!!!
I decided that since this has become a mixture of a workout blog and a baking/cooking blog, that it was time for a new name!!!!!
I chose WHIPPPED because it can represent both topics.....
You whip batters, butter, etc while baking.....
and you can get "whipped" into shape.....which is what I did......
So hope you all like the new bloggy name, and if not, then oh well, cuz I do!!!! ;P

Power Outage!
This morning I woke up around 7, which is technically sleeping in for me. My body doesn't know how to sleep later than 6:30, so this was a welcomed surprise!
I actually like waking up early because I feel like I get more accomplished and I have more time to do things during the day. I would actually be quite pissed off if I slept in later than 8:30.....by 9am I would feel like I wasted half the day away.
Anyway, I got up and immediately started the coffee pot! We all know this girl NEEDS her coffee!!! ;) Sunday morning means that it is my weekly weigh in!!! The TV got turned on and the Wii Fit was fired up! I stepped on to do my body test and found that I had lost .9lb!!!! Woooo!!!! I am just inches away from being 114lbs! Hahahaha!!!!! It kind of scares me to think that my weight will eventually start to incline again since I want to keep building muscle, but I really have to keep in mind that my "weight" is JUST A NUMBER, and it's all about how I feel and look that is most important.
Right after I weighed in, I decided to weigh Billy. His weight stayed the same and I set him on the ground. Shortly after, the tv turned off, my coffee pot went blank, and so did the microwave.....oh crap.....a power outage. With the heat that we have been having, I was hoping it wouldn't last too long since 1) I didn't want the stuff in the fridge and freezer to go bad, and 2) we were desperately going to need the AC today!!!!!
Yeah, it was just a tad bit hot out there.....and this was in the shade.......
My friend Lori told me I should go for a run since I have nothing better to do (I couldn't even make my oatmeal fro breakfast.....), but it was too hot for a run. I have become a severe weenie with running with the heat.
Thankfully, the power was off for only about 30 minutes, and then everything came back on!!! Good thing....didn't want to melt!
Once the air came on I immediately made and ate my breakfast! So yummy, as usual! :D I then took Lori's advise and went for a run....but on the treadmill! Day 21 of Best Body Boot Camp was in the books and week 3 was complete!!!!
Since there is an "optional cardio" day each week, I just made up my own workout. I decided to do some arm exercises in between cardio bursts!!! My final stats were......
What a great Sunday workout!!! <3 I say that every day, huh? LOL!
I managed to complete 5.6 miles, which is extraordinary for me on the treadmill!!! With all the running I have been doing again lately, I decided to wear my Mizunos today. The only problem, they don't have that fancy Nike+ sensor holder in them. So, a little tuck into my laces did the trick!!!
Some stretching was in order after that workout, and then so was a shower........
While browsing Instagram today, I found this awesome sign that I feel would be the perfect "entry picture" in the entry way to my home
This couldn't be any more true! <3
Now where to get one.....????

Randomness....
In yesterday's post I mentioned that I had some things to share with you!!!!
I decided to extend the excitement.....or boringness.....to today's post!!!! :D
You're welcome!
A couple weeks ago I shared with you all that I was going to be racing in the America's Finest City half marathon the day after my birthday. Well, after sleeping on it for a few nights, and really thinking about it, I ended up declining Jaimee's offer to buy her registration for the race.
I wasn't really looking forward to it. I was going to be going alone, and I was going to have to get down to the race's finish line before 6 am to catch the bus to take me to the start line. This would mean that I would have to leave my house by 4am.....which meant getting up around 3am. None of that really sounded appealing on my birthday weekend.
Another factor leading to my decision was the fact that the hubby has been gone so much this last week that I really want to spend some time with him next weekend.....and going to the race would take about half of the day on Sunday.....including leaving while he was still sound asleep in the bed with the piggies. :/
So, I backed out.......
BUT!!!!! I am keeping my half marathon love alive by signing up for a {more} local one in November!!!! This one is practically in my backyard! The start/finish line is only 3.8 miles from my house!!!! Oh yeah!!!!! The Temecula Half Marathon is going to be so much fun! My friend, Janelle, convinced me to sign up....so we will have each other for support! I cannot wait! Although it won't be as easy as the AFC half (which is practically all downhill), it will challenge me, and best of all, it is sooooooooooooooo close to home! ;)
With the weather we have been having as well, it will be nice to run a fall race instead of a summer one! Although, November 4th may still be a hot day because I will be there! ;)
Our weather has been so weird lately! We had thunderstorms!!!! SoCal having thunderstorms in the middle of August!?!?!
I am telling you, this whole "2012" thing is becoming more and more realistic!!!! It's kind of scary if you ask me......
It was muggy out there.....yuck! I had decided to visit the grandparents and when I left my house it was all hot and sunny......but when I got close to their house, it started raining. I pulled up just in time for the downpour! My grandma even came outside and asked if it was hailing!!!! Those were some heavy rain drops!
The rain only lasted for about 10 minutes and then quit. WEIRD.....it stayed cloudy and muggy for the rest of the day, and when I left their place, I hit a little more rain on my trip back home.
Thankfully people in Southern California know how to drive in the rain.......
Ha.
Ha.
Ha.
Once I got home I made myself some dinner! I have been craving an omelet lately......really with the runger? So I made a yummy one!!!!! Not really an official recipe, but will still tell you all about it!
I scrambled one egg and 2 egg whites (Egg Beaters) together with some pepper. Then chopped up some grilled chicken, zucchini, squash, cauliflower, carrots, and a brussels sprout and threw it into the eggs. I then chopped up a wedge of Laughing Cow Light French Onion cheese and cooked it, omelet style, in a bit of EVOO and sesame oil until it was done! To finish it off, I squirted some Sriracha on it! Yummmmm!!!!! This was such a great omelet. All it was missing was some jalapeƱos.......or maybe even some peperoncinis! ;) Hehehe!
Definitely next time!
So I got this cute new shirt!!!! I love burpees and here is a tank to show that love! I got it from Sparkling Sports Shirts and just love it. Now, I ordered a small (the smallest size) and it is big on me.....but that won't stop me from wearing it proud! Hehehe!
*Just so you know so if you want one, order accordingly! ;)
The back of the shirt is written upside down! Love it!!!! Hahahaha!!!!! Gotta go burpee!
The hubby thought it had something to do with burping babies......uh, HELL NO!!!!! Anything BUT that! LOL! I should make him go do 10 burpees for thinking that, and then 10 more for spewing his word vomit upon me!!! ;P
Some more randomness.....
One of the gorgeous flowers bloomed from my bouquet that Davey got me! <3 So pretty!!!! :D
And something from my dream man......
Oh Mr. Statham, how I want to wash my face on your abs.........
*sigh*
Again, you're welcome! ;P

Runger
Runger is a real thing....
Exhibit A:
Yes, that is a large jar of peperoncinis. Does anyone else ever crave these?
If you don't know what "runger" is.....
Runger is having strange cravings at strange times. Kind of like being pregnant....
I have always loved peperoncinis, but for some reason I have been craving them like a mad woman. I finally got a jar yesterday from Target and as soon as I got home I dug in!!!!!!
Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should seriously take a look at that whole list.....it is quite amusing and informative! ;D
Now to catch up on the week......
Quite a bit has happened since my last post. Boot camp has continued......of course! I kicked some bootay this week!!!! Lots of great workouts!
And notice my pretty pink cup up there??? Enjoyed some yumsilicious Click before this workout! I love to mix one scoop of mocha with one scoop of vanilla! So yummy! I saved a little bit to add to my iced coffee to take to work with me!!!! LOVE that Click!!!
I HIGHLY recommend it (and they aren't paying me in free Click to say that.....I truly LOVE Click....and the hot pink tumbler doesn't hurt either ;P )!!!!!
I was so shocked to see how many calories I had burned after that workout!!!!! 743!!!!!!!! Wooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After my workout I took some progress pictures.....look at my arms!!!! Yay!!!!!! Love seeing some definition! <3
I can't believe that when I bought that tank top it used to fit me perfectly!!!!! Now my boobs don't even try to hold it up!!! ;) No complaining though! Would rather it be that way....55 pounds.....GONE!!!!!
I want to get ONE THING STRAIGHT though....I don't want to get buff.....I just want to tone and not be flabby! Flabby skinny is not sexy.....fit skinny is! ;)
Speaking of BOOBS.....gotta check out my girl crush, Jenna Marbles' new video.....just do it......NOW! I won't be mad that you left my page to go see hers.....it opens a new tab anyway, so you can easily click back to here! ;P
Now, earlier I mentioned that quite a bit has happened this week......I do have a few things to share.....but I think that this post has been long enough, so I will spare you the boringness and save that for another post!!! ;) Ok!?!?!
OK!!!!!
Exhibit A:

Now to catch up on the week......
Quite a bit has happened since my last post. Boot camp has continued......of course! I kicked some bootay this week!!!! Lots of great workouts!
Wednesday's workout was a fun one! More supersets with circuit intervals intertwined! Like I have said before, I really like breaking up the workouts like that!!! :D
Not too shabby, shredding off over 450 calories!!! Oh yeah!
Wednesday's Workout

I HIGHLY recommend it (and they aren't paying me in free Click to say that.....I truly LOVE Click....and the hot pink tumbler doesn't hurt either ;P )!!!!!
I have a love/hate relationship with Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Those are my late days at work, and I really hate working until almost 7pm......but I do love all the extra time I have in the mornings to do a real good workout. Thursdays are just the opposite! I love Thursdays (not as much as I love my Click though... :P ) since I get off around 5.....but that means that I have to make sure to be UP by 4:30 if I want to get my workout on!!!!!
Thursday called for some core exercises and progression intervals! I did 3 sets of 25 reps of each of the 4 exercises and then moved on to my cardio intervals!
The cardio was VERY similar to one of the exercises in Phase 1 of Best Body Boot Camp. So similar that I already had a timer made for it in my GymBoss app on my phone! ;) So similar that I remembered that I had done it using speeds 5, 6, and 7 mph. This time around I did the warmup AND moderate intensity interval (so the slowest intervals) at 6 mph, stepped up to 7 mph for the next interval, and hit 8 mph for the fastest interval! So happy to have some awesome progress! Gotta toot my own horn and be proud of myself!!!! <3
I love sprinting! It makes you sweat like crazy, gets that heart pumping, and uses totally different muscles than those you use during a normal run!!!
I sure do love a lot of things tonight, don't I!?!?! ;P
I got 2.6 miles completed in that 30 minutes (which is really good for me on the treadmill.....going off topic a tad here, but does anyone else run slower on the treadmill than outside? I can run an 8 minute mile outside, but turning my treadmill up to an 8 minute mile is killer!!!!!!! Why is that????) and burned over 300 calories! Pretty good for a quick Thursday workout!!!! :D
Thursday's Workout
Ahhhh Friday! TGIF!!!! I love Fridays, but normally have to go into work pretty early (7:30). This means that I have to be OUT OF BED by 4am!!!! One Friday a month, though, I get to "sleep in" because I don't have to work (but that means that it's that dreaded time of the month where I have to work that Saturday).....
Friday's workout was going to be a long one, which I knew ahead of time. I almost changed the schedule up a tad and would have switched the "optional cardio" day for Friday and done this workout on Sunday.....but then I remembered that I didn't have to work, so I didn't have to switch the schedule after all....and took advantage of all my extra time! :D
Planned for Friday was Workout C.....3 sets of different exercises done in 10 minute intervals; as many sets as you can in that ten minutes. There was also a 20 minutes "steady cardio" on the books, but I decided to make things a little different and incorporate my favorite way to exercise! ;)
I started with a 10 minute warm up on the treadmill (running at 6mph), then set my timer for 10 minutes and did the first set of exercises. I managed to complete 2 2/3 sets before my timer went off. I realized that I wasn't very good at doing things for "time". LOL! When the timer went off, I hopped back onto the treadmill for another 10 minute run (again at 6mph). Then off to do a different set of exercises for 10 minutes.
The second set I was only able to get through 1 1/2 sets.....I am so pathetic! LOL!!!!! Guess I know what I need to start working on. Then another 10 minute run.....then another set of exercises. I think I got through 2 sets of the final group, and hit the floor to do some major stretching!!!!! I did manage to burn through some MAJOR calories though! So proud of myself!!!! :D
Friday's Workout
I was so shocked to see how many calories I had burned after that workout!!!!! 743!!!!!!!! Wooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After my workout I took some progress pictures.....look at my arms!!!! Yay!!!!!! Love seeing some definition! <3
That's right, I am a f<3cking princess, mkay?
Tried to get a picture of my shoulders!!! <3
I want to get ONE THING STRAIGHT though....I don't want to get buff.....I just want to tone and not be flabby! Flabby skinny is not sexy.....fit skinny is! ;)

Making the best of it...
As you all know, this past weekend was quite hard on me.....
I lost a classmate to war and my dog to a car. To make matters worse, the husband was gone for the weekend, so I was all alone. Thankfully I had my BFF with me in the morning for the classmate's funeral (you can read her post about it here....really check it out! She is amazing), but still had to come home to an empty house later that day. Then getting the phone call about Zoey and not having a warm hug from Dave really made me feel even more alone.
But I can't dwell on that. Sunday was a new day, and I got to spend some time with my friend Chelsea, while she is out visiting from Alabama! We went shopping and I got myself a super cute new dress!
I also got caught up on laundry and did some house cleaning! Sunday was a good day, despite the random tear fests when I would start to think of Zoey.
Davey texted me and told me that he was headed home that night (he was originally planned to come home Monday morning)!!! I was super excited.....even if he was going to be getting home in the middle of the night! At 12:30am, he walked into the bedroom door and I was so happy to have him come lay next to me.
Even though the hubby was home, Monday morning came and my routine had to hold strong! I got up to start Phase 2 of boot camp and get ready for work!
Monday's workout incorporated some weight supersets and cardio intervals in-between. These are my favorites! I love having the workout broken up like that. A little weights here, a little cardio there.....I blasted through it and then hit the showers.
I then spent a few minutes with the hubby before leaving for work. While at work I got a text from him saying that he was wanting to go ocean fishing with his friends......this would mean he would have to leave that night and wouldn't be back until late the following night. At first I was upset because we still had to deal with Zoey's body, and he had been gone all weekend, and I was emotional and really wanted him home. But I put myself in his shoes and knew that his best friend is here for only a short time and that he was also suffering from the loss of Zoey, so I told him to go on the fishing trip and to have a good time!!!! I then received this text from him:
I also came home from work to these on my counter....
He sure does know how to make me feel special! :')
I actually got to see him before his friends picked him up, so that was really nice. Made my day a little better, especially since this meant that I was going to have to deal with Zoey alone. We talked about what we were going to do with her. I really wanted to bring her home and bury her in the backyard, but Dave didn't want to see her (I almost think he is taking this harder than me.....gotta stay strong for each other). So we decided to just have her cremated and let them take care of her ashes. Sounds mean, but I know it would be too hard to have her box of ashes in the house for Davey. I do plan on burying a picture of her along with her collar in the back yard and placing some flowers on top. It is a good feeling knowing that she is finally laid to rest.
Now, enough with the sob fest, because I hate crying and I want today to be a more positive one!
I am so far behind on my boot camp posts for you!!!
I finished Phase 1 off strong.....with killer workouts on Thursday and Friday!
Thursday was a full body workout (with those damn walking planks again) and a 20 minute steady cardio session!!!
Friday was a 45 minute cardio interval workout!
As you can see, Friday was a killer one for me! I was drenched from head to toe, but it felt amazing! I was so proud of myself because I had ran the entire time!!!! No walking until the very end (last couple minutes) of the cool-down! Due to time, I had to skip the core workout.....bummer.....LOL!
Saturday was a much needed rest day! I always look forward to rest days! Hahaha! Sunday I ended up not doing anything either. Just wasn't in the mood....the motivation wasn't there. I had planned on going for a run, but just didn't do it.
Fast forward to today!!!! This morning brought in that dreaded core workout! Ugh! I did 3 sets of 25 reps of 4 different core exercises. My abs were burning!!!! Then I hopped on the treadmill for a 50 minute cardio interval workout! Tina sure is kicking my ass this time around!!!!
I finished the workout with some stretching on the floor!!!
I am so loving these workouts!!!!! For as long as Tina keeps putting on these Boot Camps, I will keep signing up!!!!!!
Oh, and remember my super awesome orange compression socks!?!?! And remember how I said I ordered a new pair??? Well here they are......
....did any of you guess the right color??? LOL!!!! If you guessed hot pink, you know me too well.....but I already have a pair of hot pink ones, DUH!!!! Hehehehehe!!!!!
Well, must be getting off to work.....but today is a new day, Zoey has been laid to rest and is watching over us in doggy Heaven, and all I can do is make the best of the days to come. Life will go on, just like it did when I lost my mom. Each day will get easier, but just got to make the best of each day as it comes!
Have a wonderful Tuesday all!!!
<3

Rough Weekend.....
Oh man, where do I begin.....
Well I will start off with telling you that this is going to be a long post, and it will get sad. If you don't want to read it I will understand.
This weekend was a rough one. My best friend came down to attend a memorial service for a guy that we went to high school with. I knew of him, but never got the chance to know him personally. I accompanied her to the service for support. Funerals are never easy, and it was a tear fest the entire time. His name was Eric Williams and he was a medic for the Army. He died days before returning home. Eric threw himself on a live grenade to take the impact of the explosion to save the others that were with him in their safety tent. He was only 27 years old. You can read about his memorial here, and a little about what happened here.
After the service, my friend (Deliesse) and I parted ways and I was headed to a lunch date with my friend Fatn and some of her friends. We ate at an olde world style family tavern near my house, Barley & Hops. There was only one thing on the menu that was "healthy" enough for me to eat. Yes, ONLY ONE!!!! It was the "un-salad". Pretty much it was a plate with cucumbers, bell peppers, onions, olives, tomatoes, feta cheese, and mozzarella cheese. I asked for the cheeses and dressing on the side and no tomatoes or olives. I sprinkled some pepper on it and poured some malt vinegar on as well. I put some of the cheese on and dug in. It was really good.....but for $10, I could have made it at home for way less!!!!
Once lunch was over, we all had things to go do, so we all parted. I headed to the store to pick up some peaches for some cupcakes I was planning to make for my new neighbors' housewarming party. After getting my peaches, I came home and started baking away! I made peach cupcakes with a cinnamon-peach frosting. Yummy!!!! I got to puree some peaches which was fun! ;)
I didn't realize it until after I got home that I had bought white peaches. I don't think it made much of a difference though. For all of you wanting the recipe for these summery cupcakes, here you go!!!!

Peach Pie Cupcakes
(adapted by Cathlin Cooks)
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 1/2 cups cake flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh peach puree
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2/3 cup water
- 2 TBSP vinegar
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar in a bowl
- In a separate bowl, mix together the puree, oil, and water, and vanilla
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet and whisk together until combined
- When the batter is smooth, add the vinegar. You will notice some foaming, but that is just from the vinegar reacting with with baking soda
- You can add in some food coloring if you would like to make it look more "peachy".....I didn't do that
- Pour the batter into your lined muffin tin and bake for 12-18 minutes. Mine only took about 13 minutes
- Let cool for 10 minutes and then prepare your frosting
FROSTING:
INGREDIENTS:
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup peach puree
- vanilla, to taste
- cinnamon to taste
DIRECTIONS:
- Whip the butter until light and fluffy
- Slowly add the sugar and beat until combined
- Add the peach puree and vanilla and beat again until smooth
- You can then add food coloring to the frosting as well. If the frosting is too "runny", keep adding more powdered sugar until desired consistency is reached
- Frost your cooled cupcakes!!!!
I hope you enjoy them.
The housewarming party didn't start until around 5:30pm, so I cleaned up my kitchen and stuck the cakes in the fridge to allow the frosting to harden a bit since it was melting in our SoCal heat!!!!! I eventually headed over around 6:15 and was introduced to so many new people.
I was way out of my comfort zone. I normally don't like meeting a whole slew of new people when I am alone, but everyone was very welcoming and I felt like I was a part of the crowd shortly after arriving! :) I spent a few hours there, met some awesome people, and then headed home (which is right next door) around 11pm.
Billy was snoozing inside on the bed in the bedroom and Scrappy and Zoey were out back. I opened the slider to the backyard and Scrappy came immediately running in....Zoey did not. I waited a few minutes and she still didn't come running in, which was really weird. I figured she had just hopped the back fence like normal and was out running around in the ravine behind our house. After a few minutes I turned on the light in the backyard in hopes that she might see it and know I am home and come running back.......but still no Zoey.
Dave is out of town and so I texted him telling him that she still wasn't home. He told me not to worry about her and that she will eventually come back......
Famous last words......
Around 11:30 my phone rang. It was a number I didn't know, but I answered since I figured who the hell would be calling me at 11:30 at night???
It was the emergency vet......
Zoey had been hit by a car and didn't make it. I was told that a "good samaritan" had found her and brought her in, but that she was already gone when they received her.
My heart sunk. I immediately called Dave and told him what had just happened. He told me that he would take care of everything when he got home on Monday.
First a funeral, then my dog dies.....
FUCK......
My weekend just went to shit......
I have been so down today.....but in memory of my sweet do-do dog, Zoey:
My friend, Lori, Instagramed this picture for me! <3 Love her!
Zoey was still just a puppy, full of energy......just wanting to run around and enjoy life. I just hope we gave her a happy life while she was here! <3 I just pray that it was an instant death for her and there was no suffering. I feel awful for being out, having a good time, while she lay in the street, helpless, all alone.
Zoey, I hope you know how much we loved you and how much you touched our lives and the joy you brought to our family! We love you!
In memory of our sweet Zoey

A pug's birthday!
Today is my Scrappy's 6th birthday! He is my "first born" and one of the love's of my life!!!! I cannot believe he is already 6! It doesn't seem that long ago when Davey and I made the 2 hour drive to the breeder's house to pick him up!!!! <3
This pug stole my heart that day! :D
Here is my Scrippits when he was [almost] a year old, and today with his birthday crown on!!! <3 He was so mad at me for making him wear that crown! Hehehe! What a mean mommy I am! ;)
And just in case you want some more cute action from Scrappy.....
...here he is sleeping last night when I woke up randomly in the middle of the night! <3 Awwww!!!! I just love him so much!!!!!
As a birthday treat he got a huge scoop of peanut butter in the morning, and his favorite snack......french fries......at dinner time! He was so excited! I just hope he had a good little puggy birthday and knows how loved he is!!!! <3
Now, on to today's workout......
Today was a killer core workout and a 45 minute interval run!!! I was drenched in sweat once I was done!!! The run part was a little rough since my legs are still sore!!!! I am hoping that taking a couple rest days this weekend will help cure that!
This morning I did 4 sets of the core exercises, unlike last week when I only did 3! I made myself do that extra set! Need to get that core into shape.....PRONTO!!!! My abs were burning, especially with the V-sit move. That one is horrid, but I held it for 30 seconds, all 4 times! :D
Wow, boot camp day 10 already!!!! This is going to fly by just like the first one did!!!!
About a week ago I noticed a little bite on my arm with some bruising around it. I brushed it off to be just a bug bite....no big deal. Well, a week later, the bruising has gotten worse! :( I don't have any pain, my body feels fine, and I don't even notice anything is on my arm until I see it out of the corner of my eye.......and the weirdest part of it all is, I don't bruise easily......
I have been showing my co-workers and the dentist I work with. Some people say to give it some more time, others say to see a doctor immediately. Well, I am not one to rush to the doctor, especially since I know that they are going to tell me that it's just a bug bite and if it doesn't get better in a week or so to come back.....just like what all doctors say....Why waste my money for them to tell me the same thing they tell everyone when they don't know what is causing their ailment....??? My manager at my work was concerned and took my arm and drew around the bruise with a Sharpie so I can see if it continues to get bigger.....
So now I have got myself a lovely little forearm tattoo! ;) It's so weird going on with daily life with that on my arm......I have always wanted a forearm tattoo.....but after this, I am second guessing that one! ;)
The yellow ring in the center is where the puncture was from the bite. It was a single puncture wound, so that would count out any type of spider.....unless it was a one toothed spider.....hmmmmm. But something really attacked me in my sleep, obviously! I just hope it gets better so I don't have to go to the doctor!!!! ;)
Ok, so I have waited long enough to tell you all my surprise!!!! It may be Scrappy's birthday today, but I have a little birthday present waiting for me......I am going to be running the America's Finest City half marathon the day after my 28th birthday!!!!! My friend Jaimee, whom I ran La Jolla with, was signed up to run to complete the Triple Crown.....but her knee has been acting up and she won't be able to run in the race. I will be taking over her bib and running in her place! I am excited and nervous because I was approached with this on Saturday......only 3 weeks before the race!!!!! No time to plan or train......I just hope my little legs are up to the challenge again!!!!!
More details to come......
And in closing, the birthday boy just farted.........
